Turtle Cheesecake Brownies

  • 1 box your favorite box brownie mix
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2/3 cup caramel ice cream topping
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 13×9 inch pan with non-stick cooking spray.

Combine the brownie mix, oil, water, and 2 eggs until just blended. Spread batter into prepared pan.

Beat the cream cheese in a medium mixing bowl with an electric mixer until smooth. Beat in Vanilla and remaining egg until thoroughly blended.

Spoon cream cheese mixture over brownie batter in pan. Does not need to cover completely. Dollop spoonfuls of caramel topping.

Use a knife to marble through layers to create a swirled effect. Sprinkle with pecans and chocolate chips.

Bake for 32-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted two inches from side of pan comes out clean or almost clean (do not over bake). Transfer to a wire rack and cool completely. Cut into squares. Store in Refrigerator.

Yield: 24 large brownies
