Double Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

Soft and Chewy, double chocolate oatmeal cookies. They also freeze well.

  1. 2 sticks of butter
  2. 1 cup brown sugar
  3. 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  4. 2 large eggs
  5. 2 teaspoons vanilla
  6. 1/4 cup milk
  7. 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
  8. 1/14 cups all purpose flour
  9. 2 1/2 cups rolled oats
  10. 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare cookie sheets by spraying with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to combine the butter and sugars until smooth and creamy. Add the eggs, vanilla, and milk. Beat until smooth
  3. Add the cocoa, flour and oats and mix just until combined. Stir in the chocolate chips. The dough will still be sticky.
  4. Spoon rounded tablespoonfuls of cookie dough onto prepared baking sheets.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until just set in middle. Let cool 5 minutes before moving to cooking racks to cool completely.
